Johanna is a dream host!! She is an incredible communicator from the first general inquiry to the second you check out at the end. She is so accommodating, warm and friendly! She even left us a sweet welcome basket when we stayed at her home which by the way… IS UNREAL!!! The most incredible slice of heaven on earth. Literally perfection! Johanna clearly cares about the people who stay in her home and she wants her guests to have the best experience. I cannot wait to rebook this property over and over, and to work with Johanna again! She’s hands down a 12 out of 10 experience!!

Before we even checked in, Johanna was prepared, and proactive. She was organized and responsive with check in details, directions, and tips for an easy stay. Her house is beautiful, immaculate, well apportioned with everything and anything that we needed. Instructions were useful, clear, and completely reasonable. She even left us welcome snacks and checked up on us prior to/and upon arrival. I have had mediocre experiences with Airbnb stays prior to this, but I have ZERO complaints about our stay at Johanna’s home. The description/photos are completely accurate. We hardly left the house since it was so comfortable. We will be back!!!!!!

I am impressed. The location, the beautiful surroundings, the weekend away with my Family I really wanted. What makes the house simply the best for any type of weekend, is its host. Johanna made the wait part of the experience. With clear instructions, great local suggestions and stops along the way, and a very sophisticated yet warm and "feels like you are home" house... super host. Cookies, and Coffee upon our arrival with a hand written note. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will be back.

This is our second time staying at Johanna’s place and we would not hesitate to go back. The house is well designed for sharing with two families. Most nights we cooked in the kitchen which had everything we needed. We enjoyed a dinner out at Number 10 Steakhouse in downtown Great Barrington one night and highly recommend it. The beds are incredibly comfortable, the house is beautifully decorated, and the view of the lake is majestic. Johanna quickly answered all our questions and provided a detailed guidebook for the house and local area.

The setting of Johanna's house is spectacular - views are better than advertised. Johanna left us a lovely welcome basket, the house was airy and spacious, well-appointed and beautiful decorated, and so easy to navigate. Comfortable linens, cozy fireplace. Water pressure was amazing. :)

When we ran into trouble starting our car in the subzero temperatures this freak weekend, Johanna was responsive, eager to help, and proactively checked in - we appreciated it so much!

We really want to come back in warmer weather so we can enjoy the hot tub and the gorgeous deck!

If I could give this place ten stars, I would. I can only describe this home as a wellness respite. After three long years of COVID, post-COVID, and parenting/working throughout, me and six girlfriends made what was a long-running text chain of hopes and dreams into a reality - a weekend away! This home was the perfect setting and backdrop to some seriously overdue selfcare. The open concept kitchen and living area was the perfect convening spot for long conversations, wine refills, dancing, and reconnecting. The showers (without kid interruptions) were luxurious. The beds (with no kid interruptions) were welcoming. Well before it was time to depart, we were already talking about making it an annual trip (as well as visiting Johanna at her UWS spot - holy interior design!!!). Couldn't recommend this spot more!

The best air bnb we have stayed at. The views alone were worth the price, let alone the interior and quality of furniture and design. the outside fire pit is worth spending hours at. the mattresses, heating system, hot tub, enormous kitchen island, game room were amazing extra touches that made the weekend so luxurious. Would stay here every weekend if we could.
