Beautiful public gardens, a stunning forest Ballroom/event space, a wildflower meditation labyrinth, an outdoor stone fire pit and amphitheater, miles of trails and ponds, and nearly 18,000 acres of October Mountain State Forest across the road all help to make the Dream Away Lodge the last word in parties, weddings, birthdays, holidays and special events.

The Old Inn On The Green Restaurant- New Marlborough
Dining at The Old Inn on the Green is an extraordinary experience: fine wine, great food, attentive, knowledgeable service and the dining rooms illuminated only by candle light. Chef and Owner Peter Platt, along with his team, work to create innovative and memorable meals that are an event unto themselves. They are offering a $75 prix fixe menu with 5-6 choices per course every night they are open. The hours for dinner are Wednesday through Sunday 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm for both indoors and in an all new screened outdoor room. The wine list is graced with an array of thoughtfully selected estate bottled wines from France, California, Italy and around the world. In addition to candlelight, in the colder months there are wood burning fireplaces in each room.
The Bistro Box - Great Barrington
A roadside eatery in Great Barrington MA. Burgers, hand cut fries, panini, grilled cheese, wrap, soups, salads, ice cream.
Yummy take-out food for picnic’s over by Bish Bash Falls area…
The Barn (Egremont)
The Barn is a world-class, live music venue with great artists/bands, great food (try the shrimp tacos with a side of guacamole), big drinks, and legitimate old barn ambiance. Rock, folk, soul, reggae, country, jam, all of it from local talent and touring artists who just want to be in the Berkshires. There’s karaoke Sundays and open mic Wednesdays and a monthly comedy show. For those of us whose access to live music has been compromised by country living, The Barn is salvation. Shows generally start at 8 and end by 11.
Otherwise, there is a magic to The Barn reminiscent of the old Boston Garden with sightlines behind the hundred-year-old right center stage timber beam serving as obstructed view seating. Seams in the floorboards around the dancefloor are tripping hazards for the overserved. The walls are curated with unique memorabilia, the bathrooms are handcrafted, and a new balcony and outdoor deck new perspective and additional breathing room. There are friendly goats on the property as well.

Fine Dining at the Main Inn:
Surrounded by crystal chandeliers, antique china and colonial pewter, our historic Main Dining Room is an ideal place to spend a romantic evening or mark a special occasion. Long the focal point of our culinary reputation, the dining room’s menu features a blend of traditional favorites and contemporary interpretations of classic New England fare.
Since welcoming its first guests in 1773, The Red Lion Inn has earned a reputation for outstanding food and genuine country hospitality. Those traditions are continued today by Executive Chef Jon Sterrett, whose kitchen features contemporary cuisine that is rooted in the region's history and harvests. Emphasizing the use of fresh, local ingredients and a huge proponent of buying locally and sustaining the region, Chef Sterrett regularly updates the Inn's menus to reflect the bounty of each season.
The wine list offers 500 plus selections, and has received the Wine Spectator best of Award of Excellence for ten consecutive years; Sommelier Tim Eustis helps pair wines with meals.
